Terms of use and software licence

These terms apply to ACE Coach (the Windows program, the overlay and the voice coach, the website at coach.m2r-simulation.com and everything that comes with them: the "Software" and the "Service"). By installing or using them you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.

1. Licence

M2R Simulation grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to install and use the Software on your own PCs, for your own driving in Assetto Corsa EVO, and to use the Service while you have access to it.

The Software, the Service and everything in them (code, rules, advice, texts, voices, reference laps, leaderboards, databases, design) belong to M2R Simulation or its licensors. You receive a right to use them, not ownership.

2. What you may not do

Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, unpack or otherwise try to extract the source code, the rules, the models, the data formats or the communication protocol of the Software or of the Service, except where a law that cannot be waived expressly allows it despite this clause (for example to obtain the interoperability information the law provides for).

Copy, modify, translate, rent, sell, sub-license, host, publish or redistribute the Software, the Service or any part of them, or build a product or a service from them.

Get around or disable any protection of the Software or the Service: the sign-in, the membership checks, the installation tokens, the usage limits.

Access the Service in an automated or massive way (scraping, bulk download of laps, telemetry, rules, advice, leaderboards or any other content), or use the Service or its data to build a competing product.

Share your account or your installation with other people, or use another person's account or installation.

Disturb the Service or its other users, or send it false or manipulated data (for example laps that were not driven, or telemetry that was altered).

3. Access

Access to the Service goes through membership of the M2R page on Patreon. Joining is free today; M2R Simulation may change the conditions of access, the features or the Service itself, or stop them, at any time.

M2R Simulation may suspend or end the access of an account or of an installation that breaks these terms or that puts the Service at risk, without prior notice.

4. Your data

The Software records telemetry of the laps you drive and sends it to your account on the Service, as described on the website. You remain the owner of your laps. You give M2R Simulation the right to store and process them to provide the Service, including leaderboards, comparisons and statistics (also in aggregated form).

5. No affiliation

ACE Coach is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, or approved by, the makers or publishers of Assetto Corsa EVO. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

6. Warranty and liability

The Software and the Service are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind: the advice they give is a help to drive better, not a guarantee, and they may contain errors or be interrupted.

To the extent the law allows, M2R Simulation is not liable for indirect damages, lost data or lost profits arising from the use of the Software or the Service. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that cannot be limited by law, or the rights that the law gives to consumers.

7. Ending

You can stop at any time by uninstalling the Software. If you break these terms, your licence ends automatically. Sections 1, 2, 5, 6 and 8 survive the end.

8. Law and changes

These terms are governed by Italian law; the mandatory rules of the country where a consumer lives remain applicable. If the English and the Italian version differ, the Italian one prevails.

The terms can change; the version and date are at the top of this page. Using the Software or the Service after a change means accepting the new version.
